 About Us

The Treasure Valley Camera Club was founded in 2008 by Eric Jacky as the Camera Club of Eagle. It met in the Eagle City Hall. Jack Floegel, Scott Didriksen, and Paul Pulley were instrumental in getting it on its feet. When Eagle City Hall became unavailable for meetings, the meeting location moved to Meridian Friends Church, where it remains today. In 2017 the club name was changed to Treasure Valley Camera Club.

The club was formed with a dream of no hierarchy, open to experts and beginners alike, where people could rub shoulders and learn from each other without judgment. The club was also active in community service, not only with providing photographs to the city of Eagle, but also with assistance in events like Eagle Fun Days, Eagle Country Christmas, and whatever the city of Eagle needed help with. Eric, especially, set up and emptied more trash boxes than you’d believe. The club was made up of just a group of people coming together to share in something they all loved.

The Treasure Valley Camera Club remains a group of photographers of all skill levels – from beginners to advanced. We have two meetings with presentations each month, plus classes and field trips to teach you how to take and post process better photos. Join us, we can’t wait to meet you!
